DOLL Dementia

Dont even try to make sense of my topic or subject equation because if your confused by it then you will understand my question. Years of collecting Barbie have been great but the time came last year to sell Barbie and take my collection in another direction. Started with Attention my first AG as my intention was to go with the larger girls out of respect for Barbie. However the 16 inch dolls though beautiful , are an expensive size to keep up with.

Then my second Integrity purchase was a nude Dynamite girl. This threw another wrench in my new collecting plan. So I started to research the FR, NuFace, Monogram etc. Not only is reading the creative back stories of each of the ladies fun and interesting, my hat is off to those of you who know every detail, year, color, name, story of every single girl.

Come to find out these Diva's are just as if not more expensive than their taller sisters. So this is my dilemma. I have been told countless times by other doll collectors on who I should pick, or who is better, prettier, etc. Usually I get the same answer "choosing a doll is a personal choice and you will know when a doll speaks to you". I do believe in this philosophy and it was a certain doll yelling at me from the magazines from which she appeared leading me last year to make my decision to try something different.

I have read my FDQ and Haute dolls from the last 3 years over and over again, When I lay them all out it is the turquoise poppy cover which makes me melt everytime.
