Making a Hard CAp Wig
Making a Hard Cap Wig.
I am so happy to see someone has shared the process of making a hard cap wig. CCWood-creations helped me with the items needed to make the hard cap. Lynette shows a step by step process to making a mold of your dolls head all the way to gluing the hair and cutting it showing a finished product.
Now I have been trial and error for two months with this idea of making my own wigs and I must say I have a few tips to share with you which you can add to Lynette's tutorial. I am pleased to see I was not crazy when I made a mold using polymer clay without having to go thru the added step of using alginate and dipping my doll for the original mold. However, now that I have seen this I am most likely going to try. I had made four 5 1/2 inch round circumference for the Sybarites and Avant Guard head shape.
I will share my works soon and hope you will give it is try as well.
